2019 marks the 20th annual celebration of international education week. This year, the celebration will run from Nov. 18-22. This week of appreciation was founded by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to encourage the exchange of students and cultures.
Educational institutions and individuals all over the world are invited to participate in IEW by attending or hosting events to celebrate the heritage of their international students. This is also a time for educational institutions to encourage students to study abroad or participate in an exchange program. This includes providing resources on how to do so. A list of events being held in honor of IEW, both within the U.S. and other countries, can be found here.
In conjunction with IEW, AMO would like to highlight how we help international medical students to elevate their education. We provide four-week clinical experiences in the U.S. which can help individuals to gain clinical knowledge and skills. It is also a great setting to practice professional patient communication, earn elective credits, and request a letter of recommendation. To make securing these clinical experiences easier we provide:
- Free Applications
- Visa Assistance
- Extended Support
- Additional Resources
If you have any questions about AMO or would like to apply for a U.S. clinical experience but are unsure of where to begin, our AMO advisors are standing by. Simply send an email with any questions you have about AMO or our clinical experiences to adviors@amopportunities.org.
