Have you ever had a question about U.S. clinical experiences? Maybe you’ve even browsed a few programs but were caught off guard at the number of options. Well, AMO Advisors are your first resource for navigating all things related to U.S. clinical experiences.

If you’ve looked at AMO programs in the past, you may have spoken with an Advisor before. If you have not looked at an AMO program, an Advisor will be your first point of contact for questions related to programs and applying.

Either way, get to know our team of Advisors a little more through our Meet the AMO Advisors series! In this post, meet Antoine!

Advisor Antoine

After more than two-and-a-half years at AMO, Antoine is AMO’s Lead Advisor. In his role, Antoine helps lead the Advisor team and helps trainees find the information and programs that allow them to visualize their careers and meet their career goals.

One Piece of Advice

Antoine recommends persistence when it comes to visas and visa wait times. With increasing visa wait times, visas have been more and more difficult to secure for medical trainees.

Antoine’s advice? Keep checking wait times.

Despite what might be listed as a long visa wait time at your embassy, Antoine notes that these times fluctuate: “Sometimes the visa wait times go down less than 100 days [before] they fluctuate back up.”

Regularly checking your embassy or consulate’s website can limit your chances of missing a dip in visa wait times, helping you secure yours sooner. However, AMO Advisors also keep a close track of visa wait times and are ready to help you determine how soon you can secure a visa for your clinical rotation.
