This month, AMOpportunities won the University of Chicago’s New Venture Challenge. A total of 11 companies completed in the NVC; Finalists were chosen from a pool of 32 teams.

Launched in 1996, the NVC is one of the top-ranked accelerator programs in the United States. Past winners include GrubHub, Simple Mills, and Braintree/Venmo. To compete in the program, a University of Chicago graduate student must be on board a project, with at least a 10 percent equity stake. Only University of Chicago students are allowed to present at the finals.
