While all of our clinical experiences are high quality, our oncology clinical experience at University of California Los Angeles Medical Center in Santa Monica has a number of noteworthy hospital affiliations that make it stand out.
Depending on patient load, visitors may have the opportunity to do hospital rounds with their supervising physician at UCLA Medical Center and Providence Saint John’s Hospital. Aside from this, visitors will learn about internal medicine as it relates to oncology.
Program Details
Over the course of this oncology clinical experience, visitors will learn about the most common ways to diagnose and treat patients with cancer. While the visitor will work closely with an oncologist, they will also have the opportunity to see how medical professionals with different areas of expertise come together to plan and carry out patient care plans.
This clinical experience is best for later year medical students or graduates. Due to the program’s California location, visitors must select between an observership or research clinical experience.
