Meet AMO Advisor Anthony! Anthony came onboard the AMOpportunities team back in 2020, which we all know was an incredibly difficult year. Anthony knew how important it was to help IMGs find U.S. clinical experiences and that’s exactly what he did. He helped to successfully ensure that 445 rotations were completed, 150 of which were virtual clinical experiences. For more 2020 visitor statistics, click here.
One AMO team member says this about Anthony, “Huge shoutout to Anthony and the role he is taking to help train our Advisors! Less than a year in and Anthony is always focusing on making the role easier [not just] for himself but for others. Whether it’s new documents, speaking up in [meetings], or creating new processes, Anthony truly inspires learning each and every day.”

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
Anthony: A former supervisor, who saw potential in me, taught me the foundation of sales and how to become a better salesman.
What’s one thing that surprised you about working at AMO?
Anthony: The fact that all colleagues work together to make the company better each and every day. Teams consult with one another to brainstorm new ideas and turn those ideas into reality in record time.
If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?
Anthony: If I had to name a book about my life, I would call it Recipes for Overcoming Obstacles. For every obstacle I have come across, I always research ways to find a solution and overcome them. It would be very similar to a cookbook with different life lessons and how to go about it.
What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Anthony: As you get older you realize anything you want to accomplish you have to work hard for it. Nothing will come to you easily. You may feel alone at times, but you are never alone, and it is ok to ask to help from your friends when you need it.
What’s a trip that changed you, and why?
Anthony: My college trip to Thailand was a life-changing adventure. It was my first trip to the other side of the world as an adult and seeing a different culture firsthand was amazing.
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
Anthony: You will most likely find me in the garage wrenching on a car or grilling on my back patio!
What’s the top destination on your must-visit list?
Anthony: I have to visit Japan! I am a huge fan of the culture, food, and history. And this has been on my list for years.
Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies?
Anthony: As a curious learner with a wide range of interests I spend most of my free time researching and seeking new opportunities to try out my skills including: cooking, working on cars, and watching do-it-yourself videos.
What’s one thing you’re really bad at? And one thing you’re really good at?
Anthony: It is really difficult for me to learn languages, so I focus on learning people’s cultures like their history and food, in order to connect with people.
You’re a cook! What’s your favorite meal to make and why?
Anthony: My favorite meal to make is pizza from scratch! I started making it by hand when I was 13, and I have not stopped since. I love to cook for others, and everybody loves pizza. There are so many different toppings that everyone can enjoy their own style.
Is cereal soup? Why or why not?
Anthony: Cereal is cereal, I define soup as ingredients being boiled until their flavor is released. Cereal can have a soupy appearance but is still not categorized as soup.
What would the world be like if it was filled with male and female copies of you?
Anthony: There would be a lot of chain restaurants serving different cuisines from around the world and many mechanic shops.
