New Year, New Experiences

After much research, I decided to apply for a clinical experience with AMO. Before this, I had no experience with the U.S. healthcare system. AMO guided me in each and every step of the way to securing my clinical experience. Whenever I needed help, my AMO coach was quick to answer.

During my time in New York, I had a great experience. My precepting physician was extremely nice and supportive. He made me feel at home. The training was hands-on, so I got a chance to work with patients under the guidance of the physician. The rest of the staff at the rotation site was very efficient and helped me and other medical students rotating from different countries. During my training, I got to see a variety of cases that built a sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn more.

During the evenings and weekends, I had time to explore the city. I visited many places, including the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center, and the MoMA. This unique experience really was the best way for me to start the new year. Thanks, AMO!
