If you have been in touch with an AMO Advisor to schedule your clinical experience, there is a good chance you’ve been speaking with Tiana, one of our five AMO advisors. While Tiana has been with AMO for nearly a year, we want to take a moment to introduce her.
Originally from Florida, Tiana relocated to Chicago to pursue a degree in performing arts and soon found AMO. She started as a member of the support team but quickly transitioned to her current advising role, a testament to her knack for connecting with people. Outside of the office, Tiana likes to spend her free time meditating by the lake, staying up to date on fashion trends, and traveling.

Which would you rather have: 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?
Tiana: One horse-sized duck. That sounds so cute!
What is one superstition you used to believe in?
T: My mom could never get me to believe in anything when I was a kid but I did think magic was real.
What TV show could you watch over and over again?
T: Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj. I’m obsessed with it. I’m going to New York soon and I might extend my trip to go to a live recording.
What skill would you like to master?
T: Painting. I try to be artsy, but I don’t have the patience or precision.
If you could get your master’s degree, what would you study?
T: Law—My mom always said I would be a great lawyer because of my way with words. I am also good when it comes to making arguments.
If you could solve one problem in the world, what would it be?
T: I would get rid of war. I hate seeing countries fight and being hateful towards one another. At our core, we are all the same. We need to work together to make the world better for future generations.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what would the title be?
T: No Longer a Mess (or so I hope).
Where is your favorite place to grab a coffee in Chicago? What’s your usual order?
T: Philz Coffee. I usually go for Philtered Soul. The flavor is a mix of vanilla and hazelnuts. It’s out of this world.
If you could change three things about your country what would they be?
T: I would get rid of daylight savings, make public transit free, and make college completely free.
If you could change the world how would you do it?
T: First I would find out if the Illuminati or aliens are real. If either is, I would ask them if they could help me fix this planet for the better.
What excites you about being an AMO Advisor?
T: Getting to work with visitors from all around the world. There are so many different cultures and ways of life out there. I love that AMO allows me to help provide them with awesome experiences that will impact their future in a positive way.
